Your questions, answered

No, you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist as a private patient in Australia. You can simply book online or call us directly. However, if you are seeking treatment under specific funded schemes—such as an Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC/CDM) via Medicare, Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), WorkCover, or the TAC—you will need to bring a current referral from your GP to your initial consultation.

Yes, if you have ancillary "Extras" cover that includes physiotherapy. For standard physiotherapy and our clinical Physio Exercise Classes (Pilates tailored by a physio), we have HICAPS facilities on-site, allowing you to claim your rebate instantly or you can claim online.

Note: General fitness Reformer/Mat classes with our Pilates instructors are billed at a flat rate and are typically not claimable under private health insurance.

Physio Exercise Classes (Clinical Pilates): These are small group sessions (up to 4 people) run by a qualified Physiotherapist. Each participant works through an individualised rehab or strengthening program utilising the reformer, trapeze table, and wunda chair. An initial 1:1 physio assessment is required before joining.

Reformer & Mat Pilates: These are larger, fitness-focused group classes led by our qualified Pilates instructors. They focus on overall strength and mobility. You do not need a prior clinical assessment to join these classes unless you are actively managing an acute injury.

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows your therapist to easily examine the injured area (e.g., shorts for a knee or ankle issue). For all Pilates and Physio Exercise Classes, clean socks are mandatory for safety and hygiene on the machines. If you have any recent X-rays, MRI scans, or doctor’s letters relating to your condition, please bring them to your initial session.

We understand that life happens, but to respect the time of our therapists and other clients on our waitlist, we ask for a minimum of 12 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 12 hours' notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of the consultation rate (except in cases of sudden illness or emergency). Please call your clinic directly to make changes to your booking.
